Linsey Shields is married to Rob Shields, campus pastor at Valley Creek Church Lewisville. They met on a blind date during college. They have been a part of Valley Creek Church for 18 years. They’re firm believers in the local church, and they have experienced the fruit of being in the same Body for a long time.

They have 3 kids: 2 by belly and 1 by plane, from China. Linsey loves everything coffee-related and cherishes conversations centered around Jesus and His people. The family is also blessed with three doodles that bring them oodles of joy.

Linsey finds it a privilege to disciple and love on others, starting with their kids. She is a first-time author but has been doing book studies in her living room for years. She hopes this book lands in living rooms, too.

She and her family live in Lewisville, Texas where they enjoy Tex-Mex on a random Tuesday.

Calvin D. Sims, a proud Flint, Michigan native, draws inspiration from his upbringing in River Park Apartments to create stories that celebrate resilience, strength, and community. His work reflects a deep commitment to breaking down systemic barriers and creating opportunities for underserved groups.

With over 20 years in education, Sims has served as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, earning degrees in Speech Communication and Educational Leadership. Passionate about equity and excellence, he highlights shared human experiences, fosters pride in underrepresented voices, and inspires readers of all backgrounds. Sims believes in the transformative power of education and is dedicated to creating brighter futures for all.

Evangelist Ruth C. Pryor is a devoted woman of faith, renowned for her powerful public speaking, soul-stirring psalmistry, and dedication to ministry, education, and music. As the wife of the late Bishop Marvin C. Pryor, she cherished 46½ years of marriage, raising four children and doting on their grandchildren. Together, they served at Victorious Believers Ministries COGIC for over 26 years, where she also led the Women of Victory Department for 32 years and organized a statewide prayer breakfast to uplift women in faith and leadership.

A graduate of The University of Michigan and a former educator, she extends her service beyond the church by leading the Bishop Marvin C. Pryor Memorial Fund, supporting education and humanitarian causes, and engaging in global mission work, including building dormitories for orphans in Ghana. A licensed evangelist missionary for 40 years, she teaches the Gospel nationwide, ministers through song, and was honored as one of "COGIC’s 150 Influential Women," continuing to inspire as a teacher for the National Titus 2 Prayer.

Samanthia has enjoyed writing most of her life. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Marketing from the University of North Texas. She is a native Texan. As a mother to one daughter and doggy momma, she spends most of her time with family activities and church events.

Her art extends past writing into painting, decorating, and furniture restoration as well. She was first published in high school when her poetry was acknowledged. The use of words to create sound and movement is one of her favorite ways of writing. Samanthia is observant and weaves stories from tiny details of her life. Other hobbies include bicycling, hiking, traveling, baking, and reading.

Prince Drakey, the Royal Artist, was born from the imagination of a five-year-old Drake Dantzler. One night at bedtime he told the story of Prince Drakey, the Royal Artist. A story whose lead character was very similar to himself. A fun-loving artist who enjoys creating things that bring people joy. The next day he asked his parents to make his story a boo so he could share it with other kids. He is so excited to share this story with all of you!

Cherina Johnson was born, raised, and resides in Saginaw, Michigan. A product of Saginaw Public Schools, she later earned an Associate of Arts in Social Work and Associate in Business Studies from Delta College, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University. Cherina is a Christian and is passionate about her walk with Christ. She shares a blessed life with her loving, inspiring, and supportive husband, Oliver.

Glenn Bongard works for the Michigan Department of Corrections, where he is a principal for two state prisons in Michigan after teaching for 21 years in corrections and 6 years in high school and adult education for public and private school sectors. Glenn earned a BA in History, a teaching certificate, and an MPA with a concentration in School Principalship from the University of Michigan.

Glenn has been a youth volunteer at his local church and has coached both boys and girls high school basketball. He has lived in Millington, Michigan, for more than twenty-two years and has been married to his wife Doreen since June 2, 1990. They reared three children Rachel, Joseph, and Philip. They have a son-in-law Logan and three grandchildren Garrick, Hensley, and Emmerich. Glenn and Doreen lost their youngest son, Philip, in March of 2020.

Glenn is a preacher’s son and grew up in a small village, Morley, Michigan. He has a virtual prayer team that he sends an email prayer to daily. He and his team pray over the ministerial teams of the church in Millington Church of God as well as the pastor, and people who submit prayer requests.

Jodi K. Denton lives in Flushing, Michigan with her husband and two sons. She enjoys traveling with her husband and hopes to one day live near the ocean. Watching her sons grow and become young men with kind hearts and great aspirations has brought greater joy than she could have ever imagined. Jodi has been telling stories since she was a young girl and has finally decided to put her stories into print.

Her debut book is the first of three in a series and was inspired by true family experiences. However, details have been creatively altered to protect those she loves and respects. Jodi is a lover of mystery and history, which is evident by the intriguing twists and turns and true, historical details in her stories. Jodi has dreamed of becoming an author most of her life. She is excited to take you along on her journey of putting a lifetime of storytelling and dreaming into book form.

Chico Daron Peterson Sr. was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School and joined the military shortly after. He earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Ashford University. He is currently serving in the United States Army and lives in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with his wife and three sons.

A local Tulsa author fueled Chico’s love for writing at an early age. The storyteller traveled to Tulsa Public Schools reading to children in the 1980's and 1990's. Those stories were the spark that ignited the flame and led Chico to fall in love with the art of storytelling.

Chico is a busy, full-time soldier yet is intentional in making time for his writing passion. He enjoys writing poetry, children's books, and short stories. Chico relishes drawing as well. When he is not writing and drawing, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and running the trails.

Elizabeth Davis lives in a small town in Michigan with her husband, two girls, and her cat. She enjoys boating in Northern Michigan and spending time with her family. She wrote her debut book in the spring as the flowers were starting to bloom. A robin kept her company while building its nest outside Liz’s window. The robin would often interrupt Liz in the middle of typing by making an array of strange noises. It always made her smile and sometimes even laugh out loud. The robin inspired her to write a few nature scenes in her first novel.

Kim Winters is the founder and CEO of Pretty IN Purpose. She's a Mother, a Gi-Gi, Brand Enhancer, and an Author. Ken currently lives in Michigan with his wife of over thirty-five years, Stephanie LaBelle.  The two enjoy serving at their local church, spending time with their children and spoiling their grandchildren. Ken and Stephanie also enjoy SCUBA diving and boating.  

Sara Chapple is an author and speaker who has worked in full time ministry for nearly 20 years. She is married to the love of her life, Paul, and their blended bunch consists of 3 amazing teenagers, Caleb, Riley, and Remi, and one fluffy Bichon, London. Sara and her family live in the Dallas, Texas area where they are actively involved in their church. Sara loves working with other communicators as a writing and speaking coach. When she's not working you can find Sara curled up with a cup of hot tea and a good book.

Sally is from a Christian family of workers, educators, activists, adventurers and volunteers. They have many sayings like: With is everything; for is nothing; don’t let anyone put a rock on your head; everything you learn you learn from someone else; treat everyone as if they are an important guest; love then while they are here.

Sally learned many skills through study, competition, example and by participation in church, scouts, Junior Achievement, 4-H, Special Olympics and food technology work/study. She has worked at farms, babysitting, waitressing, cake decorating and pet grooming. Sally has taught first aid, CPR and swimming, she was a lifeguard, grocery stocker, meat cutter and packer, janitor, forklift operator/warehouse person, adult care provider, ambulance-EMT, US Army Reserve 66H/66F, clown, SCUBA instructor, RN, consultant, ECMO tech, BSN, nurse anesthetist, businesswoman and educator.

Sally is currently applying her education and joy of reading and writing to authorship.

Jacell was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She enjoys impacting children in many ways including teaching, mentoring, and coaching. She has been honored with opportunities to release God’s anointing and share his word throughout the state.

Jacell is currently working towards earning her second degree. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, spending time in nature, and participating in positive activities such as dancing and giving back. She loves to laugh and bring joy to those around her. She has a positive, high energy, one-of-a-kind personality that makes her a great leader and role model.

Through her writing, Jacell introduces relatable characters to her audience. Her goal is to help them grow their confidence through self-reflection and self-love. She lives a full and free life by being completely herself. She wants to encourage others to do the same.
